To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests, we ask that you take a moment to review our Terms & Conditions before booking or arriving at Lewana Cottages.
Our Terms & Conditions outline important information relating to bookings, cancellations, accommodation policies, guest responsibilities and property use, helping us maintain the unique character and relaxed atmosphere that makes Lewana so special.

Acceptance of Terms
By making a booking with Lewana Cottages, the Booker acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions. These Terms apply to all accommodation, wedding, event and camping bookings made at Lewana Cottages.
For the purpose of these Terms:

Booker means the person making the booking.

Guests means all persons staying at or attending the property during the booking period.

Management means the owners and operators of Lewana Cottages.
-
Property means the Lewana Cottages estate, including cottages, grounds, facilities and event spaces.
Bookings & Payments
A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to secure a booking.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 28 days prior to arrival or as otherwise agreed in writing.
All rates are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated.
Lewana Cottages reserves the right to review pricing annually. Where bookings are made in advance, any applicable pricing adjustments will be communicated prior to final payment.
Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking.
Cancellation & Variations
All requests to vary or cancel a booking must be submitted in writing.
The 20% booking deposit is non-refundable.
Bookings cancelled within 60 days of arrival may be liable for the full booking value.
Requests to transfer a booking to another date may be considered at Management's discretion and are subject to availability and applicable pricing at the time of rebooking.
Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in and check-out times will be confirmed as part of the booking process.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

Check-out: By 10:00am
Late departures may incur additional charges.

Guest Numbers & Accommodation
Maximum occupancy limits for each cottage must be strictly observed.
Additional camping, caravans, camper trailers, swags and tents must not exceed the numbers agreed at the time of booking.
Guests are not permitted to exceed the agreed accommodation or event numbers without prior approval from Management.
Lewana Cottages reserves the right to refuse entry or require unauthorised guests to leave the property.
Property Rules
Guests must respect the property, facilities, wildlife, livestock and neighbouring properties at all times.
The following are not permitted:

Unauthorised events or gatherings

Damage to buildings, furnishings or infrastructure

Driving on lawns or restricted areas

Littering
-
Removal of Marron from property dams

Picking or removing flowers, plants or greenery without approval
Only natural biodegradable confetti (such as petals or leaves) may be used during weddings or events.
Weddings & Events
Wedding and event bookings require a signed Wedding/Event Booking Agreement.
Lewana Cottages is a BYO venue. Guests must comply with all applicable liquor licensing laws and remain responsible for the responsible service and consumption of alcohol.
The heritage barn serves as the designated wet-weather ceremony option where required.
All decorations, equipment and personal items must be removed from the property upon departure unless otherwise agreed.
The fire pit may only be used when permitted by seasonal fire restrictions and Management approval.
Third Party Suppliers
Guests may engage external suppliers such as caterers, photographers, florists, glamping providers and entertainers.
The Booker remains responsible for the actions of all suppliers engaged for their booking.
Management reserves the right to refuse access to suppliers considered unsafe or unsuitable for the property.
Suppliers must be self-sufficient and comply with all property rules.
Pets
Pets are only permitted in designated pet-friendly accommodation and must be approved at the time of booking.
A maximum of two dogs may stay in approved cottages.
Pets must remain under control at all times and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
Pets are not permitted on furniture or bedding.
Any damage, excessive cleaning or additional maintenance resulting from pets may incur additional charges.
Children & Supervision
Children must be supervised at all times while on the property.
Lewana Cottages is a rural property containing dams, wildlife, farm animals, uneven ground, wood fires and other natural hazards.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for the safety and supervision of children throughout their stay.
Swimming Dam
Guests swim at their own risk.
Lewana Cottages does not provide lifeguard services and accepts no responsibility for injuries, accidents or incidents arising from use of the swimming dam.
Children and non-swimmers must be supervised at all times.
Guests should exercise caution around all waterways and natural features.
Vehicles
The speed limit throughout the property is 8km/h.
Guests must remain on designated roads and parking areas at all times.
Vehicles must not be driven on lawns, through restricted access areas or around bollards.
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to roads, landscaping, septic systems, utilities or infrastructure.

Smoking / Vaping
Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside all cottages, buildings and enclosed areas.
Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas where appropriate disposal bins are provided.
Cigarette butts must be disposed of responsibly and must not be discarded on the ground or into waterways.
Additional cleaning charges may apply where smoking occurs in prohibited areas.
Damage, Loss & Additional Cleaning
Guests are responsible for any loss, damage, breakage or excessive cleaning arising from their stay.
Normal cleaning is included in the accommodation rate.
Additional charges may apply where:

Excessive cleaning is required

Furniture, fixtures or equipment are damaged

Linen, bedding, towels or furnishings require replacement
-
Smoking occurs inside cottages or prohibited areas
-
Property is not left in a reasonable condition upon departure
-
Unauthorised guests, pets or activities occur
Where excessive cleaning is required beyond the standard cleaning included in your accommodation rate, a minimum Excessive Cleaning Fee of $150 may apply.
Where specialist cleaning, repairs or replacement of items are required, guests may also be charged the actual cost incurred.
A valid payment method will be required and retained for the recovery of such costs where applicable.
Liability
Lewana Cottages accepts no responsibility for:

Loss, theft or damage to personal belongings

Loss, theft or damage to vehicles
-
Injuries arising from guest negligence
-
Incidents involving wildlife, livestock or natural hazards
Guests use the property and facilities at their own risk.
Unavailability
If Lewana Cottages becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond Management's control, including but not limited to fire, flood, storm damage or other emergencies, all monies paid will be refunded.
Management will not be liable for any additional costs, losses or expenses incurred by the Booker as a result of such circumstances.
Complaints
Any concerns or issues during a stay should be reported to Management as soon as possible to allow an opportunity for resolution.
